You Are My Sunshine for Our Kreative Karma

Well hello there! It's been a little while since I have done a blog post. I am finding it harder and harder to craft these days. When I finally have a moment to sit down and make something I have no crafty mojo. I am trying to get back into it, but it's definitely a process. So let me ask you all a question: What do YOU do when you have no mojo?

This is my first post for the Our Kreative Karma blog. All of the ladies who post there are very talented and wonderful people to boot. We love to share our love of crafting, as stress free as possible. There are no rules when it comes to doing what you love. This month's "theme" is love.

I created this cute little "you are my sunshine" card. It didn't quite turn out as I envisioned, but sometimes that's a good thing.

I used DCWV and Recollections papers for this card. It really was very simple. It is a standard card base with standard size layers. I took a yellow piece of paper and drew "rays" on the back with a pencil, and then numbered every other one so I knew what order they went in. Then, I adhered them down to the blue sheet, skipping every other ray. So really, you can get two cards from one sheet of "rays" if that makes sense. The sentiment is from one of the sheets of paper. I just fussy cut around it. I then went over all the rays with Close To My Heart's liquid glass, added some pearls, and did faux stitched around the outside with a white gel pen.

This is my take on the love theme. Hope you enjoyed my project! :)
